Abbott and Costello entertain the troops.

The view from my tent, home for 3 nights.

My sister Rita came in to enjoy the show and spend some time with Johnnie.

We honor friends lost...

and hoist down the colors...

and pay our respects for those left behind...

One kicking display...great job fellas!

Bagpipers led the Aussies... and the nurses healed "Sgt Wilson"

What a great display and special commitment to our hobby.  Outstanding!

My effort...their sacrifice...

Captain Bob Bolinder - P61 Pilot - 422nd Night Fighter Squadron.
Same unit as my Great Uncle Steve....

and

My Favorite... Uncle Johnnie

Johnnie always seems to attract the prettiest girls.
(It's really the only reason why I hang with him.)

Once again, Johnnie keeping the Japs at bay...

and helping out the Philippino 37mm gun crew...

Thanks Patrick for another ride in your jeep...and the ice cream!
Meeting Don Malarkey from Easy Company... Thank you Don!
No Gut's No Glory is fitting...
My sister who has beaten cancer and John, who has beaten the odds...now at 88!...

The President arrives with First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, General MacAuthur, and JFK.
John is honored and congratulated by General MacAuthur first....
...then by the President, FDR!
As the motorcade leaves the field, the First Lady winks at Johnnie...

John's nervous around the Gunny.  Hell, who ain't?
A review of the troops, and patting an old friend on the back...

The birds take flight!

First, the fighters!
